New Mexico – Asian & Pacific Islander Supplemental Aid Project (NM-ASAP)

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our New Mexican communities are experiencing rapidly plummeting sales and losses in wages, especially those in the service industry. The situation is compounded by racist harassment toward Asians in our community; issues around citizenship status; and difficulties navigating the system to seek and apply for assistance with minimal to no cultural and language access. The Asian American Association of NM and the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum – ABQ are joining forces to offer aid to the community throughout New Mexico in the form of grocery cards to help supplement their groceries. We anticipate this program to end by the beginning of June 2020 or when all donations have been spent.

IF YOU NEED SUPPORT, please fill out all the requested information in this form, so we can get you your grocery card in a timely manner. This grocery card is meant to supplement rather than cover all your grocery costs. Please understand that only one card will be sent to a household until we determine we have enough funds.

IF YOU CAN OFFER SUPPORT, please contribute what you can. There are four options to contribute: PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, or check (the electronic methods preferable). PLEASE be sure to note “NM-ASAP” on check or note in any of the payment apps below.
